Four days since we said goodbye to our Divestyle stand at the The National Boat Show & Dive Expo and life is returning to what we call normal.
The weekend offered a wide array of activities and toys for all ages including “Take a Kid Fishing” Workshops, Wake Wars wakeboarding displays, the Suzuki Rockin’ Roadshow and a range of boats that surpassed my wildest expectations. Divestyle sported a top notch stand and got the visitors wet by offering a Try Dive Pool and a Dive Tank.

Before a dive, you plan, think, organize, strategize and work on logistics. I can’t help getting a very similar feel as I enter this years’ Dive Expo at the Coca Cola dome, Johannesburg. Hundreds of avid scuba divers, watersport fanatics, adrenalin seekers and keen boaters have come together under one roof to share their love with the public.
The first day has set the tone for the rest of the weekend, ending with a festive gathering at the Divestyle stand, hosted by Blue O Two and

Have you ever woken up on a cold winter morning, looked out the window seen the rain and thought “I am sure I can miss this one dive” - that was me the morning, extremely tempted to roll back into my covers and call it the day, but thanks to a persistent dive buddy I was up, trunk packed and on the road down to the beach.
When we had eventually kitted up, struggled into a cold wetsuit and hoisted myself onto the boat in the most unladylike manner, we were off, 25km boat ride in

My Wreck Dive
By the end of the next month or so I will have my wreck specialty under my weight belt, this is definitely the one specialty I am excited about,
Wrecks are a part of history left behind for us to learn from and explore, have you ever imagined a pirate walking across the deck to check his crew, or capturing a prisoner?
Or are you just there to log another dive?
I will never forget my first Advanced dive at Haerlem, the DM has to do a negative entry and locate the ship and

I have always wanted to blog but had never had a subject that i was truely passionate about - this is well before diving you can imagine. I wanted to know if im the only one that feels like my life didnt start until i put my first BCD on and began to decend? There have always had an escape, from music to writing, but nothing can compete with the feeling of being weightless and care free! You get to experience a world that not everyone gets to see. When people say they are scared of

Everyone has their opinion about baited dives. If you look at the pole on the home page it looks like 86% of the voters say NO. But at the end of the day, if it wasn’t for the baiting of the Great White sharks in Gansbaai the Great White sharks would never been tagged and monitored. With the monitoring of the Great White sharks they started protecting the Great White sharks all over the world and now it is in Class 1 CITES protected. That means that no one can catch them and kill them anymore Read More
